It covers four main areas: Breakouts and pores: 10% azelaic acid gently exfoliates and unclogs pores, with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to help with active spots. Redness and irritation: Azelaic acid alongside seven types of Centella, blue tansy, green tea, and aloe works to visibly calm redness and soothe irritated or rosacea-prone skin. Texture and marks: Helps smooth bumpy texture and fade post-acne marks by slowing excess melanin production. Hydration: Hyaluronic acid, squalane, beta-glucan, and ceramide NP provide long-lasting moisture without blocking pores, supporting the skin barrier.

Azelaic acid does have some antifungal properties, so it may help with fungal acne (also called pityrosporum folliculitis), but this serum isn't specifically formulated or tested for that purpose. It's better suited to general acne, redness, and uneven texture. For persistent fungal acne, it's worth speaking to a dermatologist who can recommend a targeted treatment.

It can help with both, but won't fully resolve either condition on its own. Rosacea and cheek redness: azelaic acid is clinically shown to reduce redness, and the formula is specifically described as suitable for rosacea-prone skin. people often report calmer, less reactive skin with consistent use. Fungal acne bumps (small, uniform bumps usually on the forehead or hairline): azelaic acid helps unclog pores and has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, so it can improve texture over time. Expect gradual improvement rather than a quick fix, and pair it with daily SPF to maintain results.
